I.D.E.A. Scholarship Application Deadline Extended

The 2021 ISMAR I.D.E.A (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility) for a better tomorrow Scholarship application deadline has been extended to September 10th, 2021. This grant provides full and partial registration waivers for online and in-person attendance. Eligible applicants are early-career researchers (early professors, graduate students, and postdocs) from underrepresented or historically marginalized groups.  Full details on the application process here.

Demo submission extended until 8/5/2021

Are you working on cool projects in virtual or augmented reality? Join us at the demo session and showcase working prototypes of your ideas! The submission deadline will be extended until Thursday, August 5, 2021. As the ISMAR 2021 will be a hybrid conference, we accept either in-person and remote presentations of your research demonstration. Please find the details from our page here. Call for Bids to Host ISMAR 2023

The Steering Committee of the International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality (ISMAR) seeking proposals to host the 21st Annual Conference, to be held sometime between the end of September and mid-November 2023. At this time, we seek preliminary draft proposals from prospective bidders. Promising bidders will be asked to provide additional information for the final selection. Important Dates: September 30th 2021 – Draft proposals due October 15th 2021 – Feedback on draft proposals, request for further information November 15th 2021 – Final bids due Early November 2021 – Bid selected Interested parties should view ISMAR 2023 bidding details here.

Journal Reviewing Results

Following a format similar to ACM CHI, we are electing to share more information about the reviewing process. This information is intended to make the reviewing process more transparent and to help guide authors in preparing a rebuttal. We received 122 submissions. Of these 3 submissions were desk rejected and 1 submission was quick rejected. These papers were either not anonymized or did not contain enough detail to replicate the work.
